How To Apply apply stormdry ??

Monsoon is coming and the big problem related to monsoon in houses are water storm damages. But now there is no need to worry about it as there are many solutions available in tha market for the same. One od the best solution is to apply stormdry cream to your walls. Stormdry  is a deeply penetrating water-repellent cream for the protection of masonry . It prevents rain penetration into masonry materials by lining their pores rather than blocking them allowing the masonry to continue to breathe naturally. Unlike waterproof paints or waterproof coatings, Stormdry retains the natural finish of the masonry so is particularly suited for application to brickwork or stonework. Applications include treatment of penetrating damp, flood protection, and increasing the thermal resistance (U value) of walls by keeping them dry

How To Apply Stormdry:

  •   Using a masonry brush remove all loose mortar, dust from the walls
  •  Apply Stormdry by brush around details such as windows. Target coverage is 200ml/m2, dependent on the masonry characteristics. Care should be taken to ensure that Stormdry does not splash onto glass, paintwork, plants, etc  Larger areas can be covered more quickly using roller application. Stormdry can also be applied by electric roller or spray – call our technical department for details.
  • Check for any “missed” areas that have not been treated (e.g. voids in brickwork, deep mortar beds) and apply Stormdry to these areas using a brush.
  •   Stormdry appears white immediately after treatment – making it easy to tell which areas have been treated.
  •  15-20 minutes after application, Stormdry starts to penetrate into the masonry. The masonry will be resistant to light rain after two hours.
  •   After 24-48 hours the wall will have returned to its original appearance.
  •  As Stormdry is formulated to penetrate deeply into masonry itcan take up to two months after application for a noticeable “beading effect” to appear when rainfall strikes the wall.
  •   A Stormdry Gauge can be used to demonstrate them effectiveness of the treatment. This allows the waterabsorption of the wall before and after treatment to be compared.
